Sponsorships and Other Donations

We welcome both co-sponsors (sharing the costs with the minyan or other community members) and sponsors (covering the full cost). We have several sponsorship options listed below for Shabbat morning and Friday nights. You may choose to add special items (e.g., scotch, fish) for an additional cost. There is a kiddush committee that can help purchase the food, but if you would like to shop yourself or buy special items, that can be arranged. Regardless of sponsorship type, you can dedicate the sponsorship in honor or in memory of someone or some event. Email [email protected] if you have questions or for more information.

Shabbat Morning Sponsorship Options
  • Co-sponsor davening & kiddush: $125
  • Sponsor davening & kiddush: $250
  • Sponsor davening & lunch: $500
Friday Night Sponsorship Options
  • Co-sponsor davening: $75
  • Sponsor davening: $150
  • Sponsor davening & dinner: $500

Donations
Additional contributions can be made via contributions to the general fund. This is a meaningful way to honor or memorialize someone or some event while helping to support the minyan. Donations can be made anonymously or can be announced in the weekly email or at davening. All such donations are fully tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law and donors will receive a receipt with tax-ID information. For more information, email [email protected].  If you prefer to mail in a check instead of donating online, contact [email protected] for the mailing address.  

Membership

Minyan Tehillah's budget includes monies for rental space for davening and events, food for davening and events, educational programs, children's services, administrative costs, and other costs. Our main source of income is membership dues, and we encourage everyone to become members of the minyan. Only dues-paying members are eligible to vote in minyan elections. 

We have a tiered membership structure, which includes the following suggested dues: 
  • Student rate: $136 per person, includes High Holiday seat
  • Senior (65+) rate: $136 per person, includes High Holiday seat
  • Adult rate: $230 per person, includes High Holiday seat
  • Child/children over age 1: Add $250 per family (includes children's programming throughout the year)
While most of our budget for the year comes from membership dues, we recognize that not everyone may be able to give the suggested amounts. Please give what you can, as we value your presence and participation, and we appreciate your generosity. If you can give above these levels, it would be greatly appreciated. If you cannot give at these levels, we ask that you consider giving at a level that is appropriate for your financial means. We aim to have everyone in our community contributing towards the minyan.
